The Case for Making a Positive Difference Through Giving
The San Ramon Library Foundation (SRLF) was founded in 1985 and prides itself as the prime nonprofit supporter of the two fabulous community libraries, the San Ramon Library and the Dougherty Station Library, located in San Ramon. The two libraries in San Ramon provide a healthy environment for people of all ages to visit and enjoy specialized programming, listen to stories, experience wonderful events, conduct various types of research including job searches, while also providing a place to gather. Indeed, they are the lifeline to the world through education, creativity, innovation, technology, idea sharing, and community!
The San Ramon libraries are supported in part by Contra Costa County and the City of San Ramon. They pay for a certain number of operating hours, library services, collections, and facility maintenance. The SRLF promotes the two libraries through fundraising and supports the libraries by filling in the funding gaps such as part of the collection budget, educational programming, and some materials. Our primary mode of fundraising is through membership drives, book sales at the Foundation Bookstore, Mega Book Sales, and Jazz concert series.

We’re raising money to make a difference and further our cause. To meet new challenges, we set up a year-end fundraising goal of $3000 in 2023.

Donations as Memorials or Tributes
San Ramon Library Foundation would be honored to accept an in-memoriam gift from donors who find that a donation to the Foundation is an appropriate expression following a loss.
A donation can also be made as an expression of honoring someone you care about on a special occasion such as birthdays, retirements, weddings, anniversaries, or retirements.
